I like to call myself a "recreational runner." I'm not exactly the most competitive person. Once during a race I linked arms with a fellow runner - my competition - and drug her up a hill with me. Why? Because I saw she was struggling. Sure I like beating my best time, but my goal is just to cross the finish line. If I happen to do it a little faster than the time before - so be it.
I'd been doing so well - running three days a week and lifting the other two. And then I babysat for a week and a half. I fell off the wagon. Hard. Until today. Quite possibly the most flippin' humid day all summer. Ugg!
So, in some obscure form of self accountability... My red-faced, stink-ified, post-run self.
